LHS: Video Fly Pack Setup
To set up the video fly pack, follow the following instructions:
Video Fly Pack
- Wheel the video fly pack into the side hallway near the auditorium. Remove the lid and open the front covers by sliding the covers into the side of the case. Unlatch the upper 2 latches on the back cover of the case and leave the lower 2 latches, then fold the upper half of the cover down.
- Use the video fly pack case lid tipped up as a table to the left of the fly pack.
- Locate 2 24-strand MTP fiber spools. Using one cable spool, connect the "VIDEO RACK" port on the stage wall plate to the "STAGE WALL PLATE" port on the video rack. Use the other cable spool to connect the "VIDEO RACK" port on the stage audio rack to the "STAGE AUDIO RACK" port on the video rack.
- Using a PowerCon cable (blue end), connect the video rack 120V AC IN power inlet to a house or stage power outlet.
- Rotate the multi-view display and KVM computer display into place
CG Laptop
- Remove the CG 1 laptop and mouse from the laptop case
- Place the laptop on the table, then remove the CG loom and power cable from the back of the video fly pack.
- Connect the 3 USB-C connectors and the power cable to the 4 ports on the laptop. Any cable can connect to any of the 4 ports.
- Start the MacBook using the power button in the top right.
Control Room Speakers
- Remove the 2 control room speakers from the case. Place one speaker on the table with the CG laptop, and the other to the right of the fly pack.
- Locate the 2 IEC power cables tucked into the top, back of the video fly pack, and connect them to the speakers.
- Locate the 2 XLR cables connected to the volume controller on top of the fly pack, and connect them to the speakers.
Boot-up
- Locate the UPS in the bottom left of the video rack. Press and hold the "ON" button until the display shows "ON" and an input voltage. After a few seconds, the rack will power up.
- Locate the KVM switch in the right side of the video rack. Choose 2: "CG 2" on the KVM switch, then power up the CG 2 Mac Mini.
- Choose 3: "DLY SVR" on the KVM switch, then power up the Delay Server (Living As One server toward the bottom right of the video rack).
- Choose 4: "CLIP SVR" on the KVM switch, then power up the Clip Server (Ross Tria at the bottom right of the video rack).
- On the Router Panel at the top left of the video rack, choose "SALVOS", then press the "SETUP" salvo button. Press the red flashing take button at the top left of the panel to confirm the action.
LED Wall
- Bring one of the OpticalCon DUO cables from the video fly pack to the stage
- Connect one end of the cable to the "LED WALL" connector on the stage wall plate, and the other end to port 1 on the LED wall distribution box, mounted to the back of the LED wall
- Connect a soco power cable to the soco connector on the back of the LED wall, and the other end to the power distro on stage
